2008 US Open Betting: Men's Quarterfinal Preview

Tennis fans are bracing themselves for two more nail-biting quarterfinals at the US Open today. With four of the top players in men's tennis in action today, millions of tennis fans around the world will be placing money in the US Open betting markets.

In the day's first match surprise quarterfinalist Gilles Muller of Luxembourg will be taking on reigning US Open champion Roger Federer. Muller is a 13/2 underdog with William Hill, but given the way cracks have been appearing in Federer's game there is no guaranteeing that the 1/14 favourite will make it to the semi-finals.

The second US Open quarterfinal played on Thursday will see American favourite Andy Roddick in action against world number 3 Novak Djokovic. The match promises to be a tense encounter as two of the most powerful servers in the world clash on center court.

Roddick is a slight underdog going into the match at odds of 5/4, while Djokovic is best priced at 4/7. William Hill have opened additional betting markets for both games, with high odds available for bets on the final score of either match in sets.

For example, betting on Andy Roddick to defeat Novak Djokovic 3-2 will pay out at odds of 9/2, while a bet on Djokovic taking a 3/1 victory pays out at 11/4.

For live tennis betting we use William Hill, one of the world's largest betting companies.
